The Young Men's Christian Association of Bangalore seeks to unite people to build a just and equitable society.

The purpose of the symbolized Emblem, the equilateral red triangle pointed towards - development of Spirit, Mind and Body - All sided development of individual. To attain the objectives of the Movement, it functions through various fellowship and purpose groups suited for different age groups and sections for the Society.

Mission Statement

"Co-existence of people to grow as a family with love, compassion, peace and justice based on the example of Jesus Christ, the centre of YMCA's objective. Thus the local YMCA transitioned through times meeting the needs of young people, men, women & children in crises empowering them to live life in its fullness as responsible and responsive community in the society.

The YMCA will celebrate, preserve, enhance and sustain creation in which people will be inspired to grow and work towards the reign of God."

Membership of the Association opens to all through the world irrespective of caste, color, creed and gender.

Through Membership of local YMCA you become a part of this International Fraternity, i.e., if you are a member of a YMCA in your place you need not take fresh membership if you happens to visit YMCAs any where in the World. No matter how you help, you'll make a big difference as you work with others to create a feeling of connectedness in your community.

Nurturing Communities through faith and action.

YMCA is an organization of men, women and children who have joined together for a shared commitment in nurturing the potentials of children, promoting healthy living and fostering sense of social responsibility. We know that lasting personnel and social change comes about when we all work together that is why, at the YMCA, strengthening community is our cause. Every day we work side by side with our neighbours to make sure that everyone regardless of age, background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The YMCA Bangalore is a powerful alley and advocate of the values of our society and future generation. Our experience and strong relationships mean we are able to organize grass-root efforts and influence public policy around the range of social issues. Our programmes, services and initiatives; enable children to realize their potential, prepare children for higher values, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body.
